your help is needed...

In case it didn't register with you, I'll say it again:  In Newtown, at Sandy Hook elementary school, twenty seven lives were lost.  Gone. Never, never to return.

Think about that.  Then think about the thousands of lives that are taken around the country.

When morons such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and others put their opinions out, one of two things happen:

1)   You e-write your representative and say, "I don't give a flying fart what that idiot thinks, I'm for sensible gun control, and so are my neighbors," ;or...

2)   You say nothing; and your representative assumes that Limbaugh , Beck and the other clowns are forcing their hand, so he reluctantly opposes gun control.

What do you do?

Once more - it's time!

I know, I know -- I'm beginning to sound like an ole broken record.  But the thing is, it's important. You may live in one of those fortunate states, but the thing is, there are those states that are not nearly as fortunate.  We need LGBT rights to be universal rights, not some crazyquilt map that you need to check every time you cross a state border.

Let 'em have it - by e-mail!

I'm one of the lucky few - I live in the Northeast.  Many of those who are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender aren't so fortunate. This isn't a matter of "conservative" or "liberal" - it's a matter of basic human rights.  The right to marry.  The right to hold hands. The right to comfort each other. The right to visit the other partner in the hospital.  The  right to say a final farewell in the cemetery.

Y'know, little stuff like that.

Tell your representative that you want these rights to be universal and irrevocable.  PERIOD.
