Trump recently discussed the possibility of denaturalizing Elon Musk and Rep. Ilhan Omar, linking it to political differences and baseless accusations. According to Michelle Mittelstadt, communications director for the nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute, the executive branch cannot unilaterally denaturalize individuals. Denaturalization is extremely rare and typically involves cases of concealing serious crimes or immigration fraud.
