ezs note:  Uh, this is where I draw the line.  It's been quite a while, but remember James Baldwin vs. William Buckley?  (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tek9h3a5wQ)  Baldwin wiped the floor with SPEECH, not fist-shaking.  If you don't vote in every election, if you don't read, if you don't speak (eloquently), you might as well put masking tape across your mouth, no matter what you pretend you're doing.
