ezs note: A few days ago, there was a story written by www.them.us about the California Legislature passing a bill making August Transgender History Month. Although the Legislature didn't expressly say it, there was a backward town which required teachers to rat parents when kids are transgender. Not only did I post this, I emailed Sen. Derek Slap and Rep. Jillian Gilchrest about we shoutd have a Transgender History Month too - and Rep. Gilchrest seemed excited about it! The legislature doesn't convene until January in our state, but this is a huge step. Thank you, Rep. Gilchrest!
