Connecticut - CT resident Megyn Kelly wants to run against Sen. Chris Murphy and 'take your job'

please press:  www.ctpost.com

ezs note:  I don't give a flying fart how much "star power" Megyn Kelly has.  A while ago, I met Chris Murphy in a campaign, and a more decent man I have yet to meet.  If you have a brain in your head, vote for him.

My two cents...

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT)

ezs note:  Well, it happened today.  Joe Biden dropped out of the race today, leaving Kamala Harris as the presumptive nominee for President of the United States.  Earlier I had endorsed a Murphy/Warnock ticket, but (understandably) Biden wanted Harris to run.  I urge VP Harris to choose Chris Murphy to round out the ticket.  Murphy is a decent, honorable, and intelligent man, having spent some time with him long ago when he was managing Charlotte Koskoff's campaign against Nancy Johnson.  Kamala, there are many fine people who you might select, but, Murphy is one of the best.

Murphy/Warnock 2024 - is it a possibility?

Chris Murphy (D-CT)

Raphael Warnock (D-GA)

Uhhh... let's face it.  Joe Biden and Kamala Harris really have tried to put a brave face on it, but this ain't helping.   Biden put in a really subpar performance in the debate last week.  Biden lovers might say I'm being mean, but, hell, it was really hard for me to admit that.

Now, if Republicans were fielding a sane candidate (Romney, McCain, George Dubya, Dole) that would be one thing.  I wouldn't have voted for them, but I wouldn't have this terrible sense of foreboding had they won.  But, hell, they're offering us f***ing Trump.  And he flat-out lies really, really well.

This cretin is the reason that Biden must bow out.  But who do we pick otherwise?  There is one ticket that could beat the daylights out of Trump, that being the ticket of Chris Murphy and Raphael Warnock.  First let's consider Murphy.  He first entered the national stage when he defeated longtime incumbent Nancy Johnson.  When Joe Lieberman retired, he ran and won against Linda McMahon.  From the start, with the Sandy Hook shootings having taken place, he quickly  became a fierce advocate of gun control, which he remains to the present day.  Less noticed, but certainly no less important, is his knowledge of world affairs, particularly of the Middle East.

Next let's consider Warnock.  He graduated first from Morehouse College, then from Union Theological Seminary.  He first pastored in Baltimore, then in Atlanta at the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.  He ran and won against Kelly Loeffler, the incumbent.  In addition to his pastoral studies,  he attained a cum laude degree in psychology.

Murphy and Warnock make a fascinating combination.  Murphy's one 'flaw' - he does not attend church services regularly - is easily overcome by Warnock's presence in the pulpit.  Even after Warnock's selection to be Senator, he still preaches on Sunday in Atlanta.

Murphy and Warnock is a combination that could trounce Trump.  Delegates, please consider them when you decide.

Connecticut - Chris Murphy over Linda McMahon

In the US Senate race, Chris Murphy bests Linda McMahon, and by a wide margin.  Currently, Murphy is the representative for the US House of Representatives, 5th Connecticut district.  Prior to that, he served on the Southington Town Council and the state House of Representatives.  He also headed campaigns for another candidate, Charlotte Koskoff.  (disclaimer: I volunteered for Charlotte Koskoff's campaign.)

Linda McMahon headed World Wrestling Entertainment.

I think you get my point.

Who I'd pick in the races

1- Elizabeth Esty vs. Christopher Donovan(nom.) vs. Dan Roberti

2- Chris Murphy (nom.)vs. Susan Bysewicz

3- Chris Shays vs. Linda McMahon(nom.)

The first person I'd pick is the 5th Congressional seat.  If the race were between the first two, and neither had any troubles, I might have a different outlook.  But Chris Donovan has troubles - big troubles.  You might have read that the Hartford Courant cleared him of all charges.  But if you read the paper more closely, you find that the FBI isn't taking the paper's word on it.  Would I like Chris Donovan?  Sure.  But would I hire him as my Congressman?  Um... no.

The other person is Dan Roberti.  At first I had my hopes high.   But he has been nothing but a huge disappointment.  He has zero platform, every ad just a cheap slam of the other two.  Unless you really enjoy the term "airhead", please don't vote for him.

The last person is Elizabeth Esty. She's not full of dazzle.  She's  walked the streets.  She's talked to people.  And, as a result, she's built a thoughtful campaign.  My vote would be for her.

The next person I'd pick would the Democratic side for Senate.  My pick would be Chris Murphy.  It's funny... the guv spoke first, and yeah, it was a rousing speech for those assembled, but for me, eh, it was a speech.  But then state senator Beth Bye spoke.  For those unfamiliar with her, I really can't explain it to you.  I trust Beth Bye and her endorsement.  Enough said.
