ezs note: Yeah, these statistics are saddening/frightening. But there are several things you can do to beat the odds. If you haven't seen the doctor lately, make an appointment and follow through. If you are overweight/underweight, make appropriate changes to your diet. Abstain from tobacco usage. Reduce/omit alcohol beverage usage. Omit drug usage. If you are in one of the states where thinking is really backward, consider leaving. And if you are really depressed, consider counseling. Are these easy? Nope. But nothing important ever is.
