Famous black men and women inventors

Credit:  http://1.bp.blogspot.com

Within our "wonderful" system of education, we always remember the white men (and only occasionally, the white women) in the field of invention.  Oh, yes, we do give that single nod to a black man, George Washington Carver.  But - that's about it.  (He was a gay man too, but that's another topic) This irks me.  Really irks me.  Yeah, I'm happy about the white guys who invented things - but what about the unsung black inventors?

Read A World Without Black Inventors.  And then let us celebrate ALL inventors, not just the ones with white melanin.
